What You'll Do.

Manage patient communications

Schedule clinical and surgical services

Coordinate pre- and post-operative care

Maintain accurate documentation

Ensure continuity of care

Ensure patient retention

Obtain pre-authorizations for procedures

Oversee surgical and procedural schedules

Collaborate with patients

Coordinate with hospitals and vendors

Identify ways to streamline scheduling process

Ensure electronic systems are up-to-date

Ensure documentation supports accurate billing

Adhere to University policies and procedures

Safeguard University assets

Triage patient-related calls

Process patient-related requests

Monitor clinical schedules for accuracy

Review no shows and cancelled appointments

Follow up on all results

Submit requests for authorizations/referrals

Coordinate physician surgeries and inpatient admissions

Coordinate and ensure receipt of financial and medical clearance

Obtain required imaging reports

Schedule pre-op appointments with UPAC

Schedule clinic visits

and post procedure follow up visits

Patient retention including recapture calls

Prepare and maintain records

Exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions

Complete assignments accurately and with attention to detail

and prioritize work under pressure

Work independently and/or in a collaborative environment

Receive and transfer calls

Communicate effectively in both oral and written form

Handle clear communication with physicians
