The incumbent supervises Histology and Cytology Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, and/or Pathology Assistants; ensures the department meets current regulatory requirements; assists in planning department goals, objectives and policies and performs clinical testing on specimens as ordered by the physician. This job requires the ability to travel to various locations within the Puget Sound. **Requirements** * Bachelor of Science degree; MBA or equivalent advanced business degree preferred * HT (ASCP) certification * Five (5) years as a Histology and /or Cytology technologist, preferably in a large outpatient or reference laboratory setting using network-based LIS and HIS systems and PC based software * Three (3) years general lab experience in a progressively responsible leadership position **About Tacoma General Hospital** MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, in the heart of Tacoma, WA, is a 367-bed regional medical center delivering cutting-edge care.
