Offered Position: Support Engineer III-Ext Job Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota Job Number: AMZ9759669 Position Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and resolve challenging operational issues in a complex enterprise environment that runs fleets of server instances interacting with multiple services across several AWS regions. Develop and implement unique solutions to service issues tailored to our customers’ individual needs for application deployment. Build and maintain CloudFormation templates, Chef cookbooks, and scripts to automate and deploy AWS resources and configuration changes. Build utilities and tools that facilitate safe, high-speed, wide-scale operations. Create tutorials, how-to videos, and technical articles for AWS customers. Resolve critical, highly complex customer problems that span multiple AWS services. Drive customer communication during critical events. Position Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered, as a Systems Administrator, or in a related occupation. Employer will accept a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to a master’s degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: 1) configuring, managing, and troubleshooting large-scale systems, including cloud virtualization, distributed networks, and co-location; 2) Linux or Windows Operating System support; 3) networking, including deploying and troubleshooting LAN, VPN, Firewalls, and TCP/IP; and 4) programming with at least one of the following programming languages: Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java.
