Offered Position: Support Engineer II-Ext Job Location: Jersey City, New Jersey Job Number: AMZ9674116 Position Responsibilities: Apply advanced troubleshooting to provide unique solutions to customer's needs in Big data applications. Partner with Amazon Web Services teams to help reproduce and resolve customer issues in AWS Glue and AWS Sagemaker. Drive customer communication during critical events that impacts customer's business operations. Work on projects that improve support-related processes and our customers' technical support experience. Leverage extensive customer support experience to provide feedback to internal AWS teams on how to improve our services. Learn and use groundbreaking AWS technologies Intermediate expertise in ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica or similar. Position Requirements: Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and one year of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) intermediate expertise in ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica or similar; (2) knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles; (3) advanced SQL and query performance tuning skills; (4) experience integrating and managing large data sets from multiple sources; (5) ability to read and understand Python and Scala code; (6) understanding of distributed computing environments; and (7) proficiency in Spark, Hive and Presto.
