This is your chance to help build strategic relationships and drive business growth with some of the most influential Consumables Selling Partners. Supply Chain Managers will play a critical role in delivering optimal customer experience by ensuring Amazon has the right product quantities, in the right places, and at the right time. This position will work to continuously optimize operational metrics by working directly with vendors and partner teams. Supply Chain Managers serve as a key point of contact between Retail, Supply Chain, and Vendors and contribute to vendor-level operational strategy, annual negotiations, and opportunities to reduce cost and waste in the supply chain. Key job responsibilities - Plan and execute inventory strategies to optimize sales, in-stock rates, inventory turns, and overall inventory health for assigned categories - Monitor and own key performance indicators including in-stock rate, procurement lead time, fill rate, and inventory turns - Lead business reviews with vendors to identify operational improvement opportunities and drive actionable recommendations - Forecast and manage efficient inbound and outbound inventory flows while maintaining optimal inventory health - Conduct root cause analysis on operational issues, develop action plans, and project manage improvements while balancing multiple competing priorities - Identify opportunities to simplify recurring operational pain points for vendors and scale successful mechanisms across the broader team - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive tools and process improvements that enhance purchasing and procurement workflows - Serve as internal subject matter expert for key components of Amazon's Supply Chain operations A day in the life Your morning starts reviewing key operational metrics: in-stock rates, inventory turns, and vendor performa
