What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 4+ years of proven experience in improving product quality for electro-mechanical products in a manufacturing environment, 3+ years of experience in a Supplier Quality Engineering role
Nice to Have
Practical Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, 8D, DMAIC, and Six Sigma methodologies, Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Practical Knowledge ISO 9001 QMS Standard and auditing experience, 1+ years of experience on data center electro-mechanical equipment

The AWS Infrastructure Reliability and Quality (IRQ) organization provides quality and reliability support for the critical equipment used in our data centers throughout their lifecycle. A critical piece of this support is ensuring the highest level of initial quality and ongoing support from our vendors. As a Supplier Quality Engineer you will interface daily with AWS Engineering teams, Procurement teams, and vendors to manage infrastructure equipment quality. Our Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for supplier qualifications, quality monitoring at supplier sites, supplier quality issue resolution and supplier development and quality improvement initiatives.
