What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in engineering field, understanding of quality engineering practices, principles, processes, Minimum three years of experience in quality engineering, project/program or equivalent, thorough and complete knowledge of respective field, broadly familiar with technologies, products, suppliers and programs, Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, coordinate, integrate internal data, and clearly articulate concepts, ideas, and other issues relating to quality engineering, Demonstrated creativity and ingenuity to work on moderate to long-term assignments which are broad in nature, organizational, project management, and leadership skills to prioritize, coordinate projects, manage conflicting needs, and deal with many issues at one time, able to work independently, Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, able to operate standard and specialized equipment related to the job, computer background with ability to calculate and analyze data, generate reports, present information, Demonstrated ability to research and recommend new suppliers, products and processes, able to initiate implementation of continuous improvement processes

What You'll Do.
and implements supplier quality programs
and develops supply base
Assesses new supplier technology
Formulates internal/external supplier quality control policies
Imposes Corporate Quality standards on supply base
Monitors and controls cost
and other related aspects of projects
Serves as a technical liaison
Coordinates activity of internal and external resources
Provides a problem solving function
Initiates action to overcome obstacles
Participates in quality planning during launch phase
Champions continuous improvement efforts
Leads supplier development projects/programs
and supports implementation of new quality assurance processes
Performs other duties as necessary
Supervise and/or provide work direction to other staff
leads and directs technical work
Provides quality engineering support
Reviews and audits supplier products
and/or systems performance
Works with suppliers and Advanced Quality Engineering to develop Advanced Quality tools
Works with suppliers to support them in the Production Part Approval Process
Engages in comparative and competitive analysis
Follows existing Magna policies
work instructions and standards
Makes recommendations for continuous improvements
