Must Have
BS in Mechanical Engineering, 2+ years quality engineering experience, 2+ years manufacturing engineering experience, Demonstrated engineering drawing interpretation, Demonstrated GD&T knowledge, Demonstrated 8D investigations experience, Proficiency mechanical measurement tools
Nice to Have
Supplier quality audits experience, Second-party quality system assessments experience, Statistical process control knowledge, Familiarity SAP or similar ERP, Experience high cleanliness manufacturing, Experience tight tolerance manufacturing, Experience precision manufacturing, ASQ CQE certification, ASQ CQA certification
What You'll Do.
Disposition nonconforming incoming material
Disposition nonconforming production material
Determine accept-as-is outcomes
Determine rework outcomes
Determine return-to-vendor outcomes
Outline rework instructions
Document rework instructions
Communicate dispositions to technicians
Communicate dispositions to supervisors
Collaborate with inspectors
Ensure MRB documentation in SAP
Coordinate RTV ticket initiation
Lead 8D investigations
Identify verified root causes
Document verified root causes
Develop corrective action plans
Drive corrective action closure
Verify corrective action effectiveness
Partner with electrical quality engineers
Maintain supplier scorecards
Track supplier metrics
Address underperforming suppliers
Escalate supplier issues
Maintain supplier quality documentation
Provide quality support production
Perform containment activities
Minimize production stoppages
Identify process quality issues
Escalate process quality issues
Communicate quality feedback
Identify improvement opportunities
Identify poorly defined specifications
Identify over-constrained specifications
Refine design specifications
