Full Job Description
Amazon installs a significant quantity of new buildings every year. The historical model has been to allow each integrator to use their own equipment, controls, subsystems, and methodologies. While that has allowed Amazon to be successful to this point, the variability between buildings has proven difficult to support and scale. One MHS’ charge is to build partnerships to focus on consistency and scalability across our network of the future. We will be partnering with key suppliers to help them scale up their manufacturing capabilities to keep up with our needs, as well as refining their designs to drive innovation and operational uptime and better meet the specific needs of Amazon’s operational environment. In partnership with WWDE, OMHS will challenge the status quo on our Gen14 AR sortables building by focusing on critical equipment, controls, and system implementation methods. We are seeking a Supplier Performance & Risk Manager to join our One-MHS team, and lead the different functions across supplier performance & risk. This role will focus on establishing the right metrics to measure risk & performance, scalable mechanisms to measure risk & performance while optimizing supplier performance and driving continuous improvement across our supplier base for equipment & components for MHE systems. This role will be accountable for tracking OMHS procurement goals, resolving quality and performance issues, and leading value engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a problem solver, and a strong communicator with a proven track record in procurement or supply chain management.
