What They're Looking For.
Must Have
1-2+ years people leadership experience, 2-4+ years mortgage servicing experience, High School Diploma or equivalent, Understanding of mortgage servicing concepts, Written and verbal communication skills, Ability to manage competing priorities, Organized with attention to detail
Nice to Have
Prior experience in servicing transfers, College degree, Experience using checklists, QA routines, and reporting, Experience training and coaching individuals, Ability to identify process gaps
What You'll Do.
Supervise daily onboarding and offboarding workstreams
Assign and prioritize day-to-day tasks
Monitor batch checklists and status trackers
Identify risks to timeline
Escalate proactively to the Manager
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
Perform regular quality checks
Ensure remediation occurs quickly
Serve as first-line support for operational escalations
Support internal and external audit requests
Ensure team operates in accordance with policies
Provide ongoing coaching
Conduct regular 1:1s with team members
Assist with onboarding and ramping new team members
Promote a high-accountability
high-support team culture
Keep SOPs and training materials accurate
Provide frontline feedback and suggested updates
Identify recurring workflow issues
Propose process improvements
Help maintain consistent tracking and documentation standards

SERVICING TRANSFERS AT VALON The Servicing Transfers Team executes processes related to onboarding and offboarding loans from Valon’s platform. The goal is to ensure that we have the necessary data, documents, and funds to service the loan and that all relevant service providers and stakeholders are notified in a timely manner. In addition to Valon team members, we work closely with third-party partners to help support our line of work.
