Ensure the highest quality product possible; Ensures KPI targets are achieved including safety, quality, efficiencies, cost, and health and safety; Maximize profitability of the Production department

mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; Assist with resolution of breakdowns; provide information to assist in identifying causes
Flexibility to work shifts outside regular scheduled shift to help with such things as audits and equipment tear downs/repair or to cover for supervisors as needed

Must Have
Sound communication and interpersonal demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, Must be self-motivated, results oriented and possess high degree of initiative, and work well with minimal supervision, Proficiency and dependability in current position, Proven leadership skills and team orientation, Working knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel, Maestro, etc)
Nice to Have
Will hold, or be prepared to satisfactorily complete the Cheesemakers course, at University of Guelph (or equivalent)
What You'll Do.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and GMPs
Ensures KPI targets are achieved
Transport raw materials
finished products and equipment
Maximize profitability of the Production department
Organize the Production labour schedule
and efficient communication
Have the necessary computer skills
Adhere to the Production schedule
Ensure all documentation is filled out
Assist with resolution of breakdowns
Ensure safe conditions and work procedures exist
Be familiar with Health & Safety
Ensure all cheese make “occurrences” are recorded
Provide guidance to employees in other areas
Flexibility to work shifts outside regular scheduled shift
