What You'll Achieve.
Ensure that all Airworthiness aspects of engineering activities are in compliance with applicable EASA and FAA requirements; Manage a team of In-service Repair Certification engineers; Assist the HO of Airworthiness & Quality in the integration of Engineering reporting and accountabilities into the AA region; Assist the HO of Airworthiness & Quality in the integration of AAE into the home Engineering functions in Europe; Responsible for performance of the teams to deliver to schedule, cost and quality; Lead and conduct the airworthiness approvals of Airbus products and product changes with the certificating Authority; Validation of these approvals by the importing countries ' Authorities; Maintain all Service Level Agreements

15% Domestic and International travel, Authorized to Work in the US, Onsite 60%, Remote 40%, Vision: Daily able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings., Hearing: Daily able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms., Speaking: Daily able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications., Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Daily able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts., Carrying: Several times a week able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs., Lifting: Several times a week able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs., Pushing / Pulling: Several times a week able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools., Sitting: Daily able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer., Squatting / Kneeling: Several times a month able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving., Standing: Daily able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor., Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Once a month, Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): Daily able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces., Appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor, Awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering or relevant field, 20 + years progressive experience in engineering programs related to Commercial Transport Category aircraft, Progressive roles related to aircraft airworthiness certification topics related to product development, major modifications and return to service of fleet aircraft.
Nice to Have
Master’s of Science degree in Engineering or relevant field, Experience in a complex, matrix organization
What You'll Do.

Conduct performance evaluations and address issues
Facilitate effective communication within team and stakeholders
Serve as member of Airbus Americas Engineering management team
Support EASA and internal DOA audits
Meet routinely with Airworthiness counterparts in Europe
Act as focal for Repair design assurance
Develop and support strategic projects for in-service Repair certification
Work closely with Worldwide Airworthiness groups
Lead airworthiness approvals of Airbus products
Manage multi-ATA and multi-program workload
Ensure conformity with certification requirements and DOA processes
Ensure good communication with global Certification Team
Consult and challenge specialists for appropriate solutions
Perform airworthiness approvals per Airbus DOA privileges
Approve Repair & Design Approval Form (RDAF)
