4 years of progressively responsible work experience within the field of Imaging Sciences, Satisfactory completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology, Certified Radiologic Technologist current NYS Licensure upon hire, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with CE credits upon hire
What You'll Do.
Participate in management of technical functions
Participate in management of administrative functions
Participate in management of quality functions
Participate in management of personnel functions
Provide general supervision to Imaging section
Provide technical support to Imaging section
Function at highest level of staff technologist
Provide direction to Imaging technical staff
Provide direction to Imaging support staff
Ensure smooth operation of assigned area
Ensure compliant operation of assigned area
Work in concert with IS Nursing
Work in concert with Clerical staff
Work in concert with IT staff
Work in concert with Faculty staff
Achieve maximum productivity
Achieve efficient patient throughput
Achieve safe patient throughput
Maintain optimal customer satisfaction
Maintain patient satisfaction
Maintain family satisfaction
Keep abreast of new developments
Serve as subject matter expert
Act as super-user for new equipment
Act as super-user for new programs
Provide supervisory coverage for area
Determine proper imaging techniques
Produce images of highest quality
Review data for accuracy
Troubleshoot problems
Troubleshoot discrepancies
Report to all vested parties
Oversee daily operations
Accountability for professional conduct
Accountability for technical performance
Escalate patient care concern
Respond to patient care concern
Report issues to senior leadership
Serve as clinical consultant

Ensure high quality imaging

Assist in assignment scheduling

Manage inventory of General X-Ray equipment
Manage compliance of General X-Ray equipment
Complete daily calibration of imaging equipment
Participate in interview process
Participate in performance review process
Participate in appropriate meeting
Participate in appropriate committees
Participate in preparing department for surveys
Encourage staff education
Improve quality of care delivered
