Supervises daily laboratory operations

Ensures compliance with regulatory
and quality requirements
Oversees quality control
and corrective action processes
and approves laboratory procedures and SOPs
Monitors laboratory turnaround times and operational performance metrics
Oversees equipment maintenance schedules and performance monitoring
Maintains appropriate inventory levels and resource utilization
Coordinates laboratory participation in inspections
and proficiency testing
Performs cytogenetic testing as needed
Communicates significant operational or clinical issues
Conducts or oversees employee performance evaluations and competency assessments
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures
