What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, 6–8 years of relevant laboratory or technical experience, prior team lead or supervisory responsibilities, Knowledge of laboratory regulations, quality assurance practices, safety standards, leadership and people management skills

What You'll Do.
Supervise daily laboratory operations
Provide direct supervision
and performance feedback
Verify personnel are trained and proficient
Monitor staff adherence to SOPs
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of sample handling
Initiate preventive and/or remedial actions
and workload distribution
and competency assessments
Serve as escalation for troubleshooting
Maintain laboratory compliance with safety standards
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Prepare and review documentation for audits
Serve as liaison between staff and leadership

This role provides direct supervision to laboratory associates and technical staff, coordinating workflow, monitoring quality, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability. The Supervisor partners with laboratory leadership to implement processes, support staff development, and ensure operational readiness. This position is on the night shift working from 10:00pm to 8:30am EDT. You will work on-site full-time at our office located in Durham, NC ## Responsibilities Supervise daily laboratory operations, including sample processing, workflow coordination, and equipment utilization. Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to laboratory and support staff.
