What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, materials, supply chain, or production control in a manufacturing environment, Direct material purchasing experience with demonstrated ability to manage supplier follow-up, shortages, expedites, and delivery recovery, Oracle ERP experience is required (Oracle Fusion/Cloud or Oracle Cloud Planning strongly preferred); 1–3 years minimum — no comparable substitution will be considered, Experience mentoring, coaching, or informally leading others, with the ability to develop team capability and reinforce accountability, Ability to manage shifting priorities, synthesize multiple inputs, and drive execution in a fast-paced, high-variability environment, communication skills with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional leaders, Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this position
Nice to Have
Prior supervisory or team lead title in purchasing, materials, planning, or supply chain (e. g. , Buyer Supervisor, Sourcing Supervisor, Senior Buyer with leadership scope), Background in electronics manufacturing or high-mix/configured product environments, Familiarity with production planning, master scheduling, SIOP/S&OE, SQDC, or shortage meeting processes, Experience developing SOPs, managing safety stock strategies, or working with finished goods supermarket models, Experience with supplier scorecards, purchasing dashboards, or KPI reporting tools, APICS, CPIM, CSCP, Lean, or Six Sigma certification is a plus
What You'll Do.
Own direct purchasing responsibilities
Provide daily tactical leadership to buyers
Lead daily and weekly review of critical shortages
Develop and fine-tune SOPs
Partner with Inventory Supervisor on safety stock levels
Collaborate with Production Planner on forecasting anomalies
Serve as key escalation and communication conduit
Act as functional backup to Production Planning role
