That’s how we continue to achieve extraordinary things in extraordinary locations. **Job description:** **Purpose** The position of Superintendent, Health & Safety Mining is accountable for ensuring compliance to all health and safety legislation within Mining Business Unit in accordance with the FQM’s global health and safety standards and policies and ensuring Safe Production. **Key Responsibilities** * This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legislative requirements pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function. * Provide leadership to the H&S team in Mining by developing and maintaining strategic direction on H&S initiatives and programs. * Develop, implement and monitor effective systems to manage health and safety risks at workplace level including conducting risk assessments, monitoring of critical incidents and reporting of near misses. * Maintain effective communication with employees across all levels of the organisation on health and safety matters. * Implement Critical Control measures to mitigate fatal hazards and risks identified through risk assessment processes. * Ensure compliance with the Mineral Regulatory Commission (MRC) Management Systems. * Conduct audits and inspections as per approved schedule to ensure adherence to safe working practices and id
