Must have an a) Associate Degree or higher, or b) 48 college units, or c) pass the Instructional Aide exam, Must pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance, Must be able to work everyday (M-F) during the summer program, Must have previous experience working with kids and the ability to independently lead and supervise up to 20 students while playing, doing homework, and implementing enrichment activities, Must be able to communicate openly, professionally, and maintain confidentiality at all times, Will be expected to complete all mandated training (Mandated Reporter, Sexual Harassment, SEL PQA etc.), Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and be capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time, Ability to communicate effectively in English with students and families, Basic English reading proficiency to support students' academic development, enrichment offerings, and school day alignment
What You'll Do.

_**Job Description:**_ ****Position Title:**** Expanded Learning Program (EXLP) - Summer Program TK Instructor ****Reports To:** **Program Coordinator Purpose: _Expanded learning programs are structured educational opportunities that occur during the summer, combining academic support, enrichment activities, and skill-building to enhance students’ overall learning and development._ The purpose of the Summer Program Instructor is to provide a safe, supportive, engaging, and interactive learning environment for students, in alignment with the Expanded Learning Program's 12 quality standards during the Summer program. The ideal candidate is creative, energetic, and passionate about education and youth development.
