What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Active New Jersey Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license, Current CPR and First Aid certification
Nice to Have
Experience in pediatric, school nursing, adolescent health, camp, or similar settings, Clinical judgment and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations, Ability to work independently in a fast-paced school environment, Organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly with documentation and compliance, Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with scholars, families, and staff, Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following all health and safety regulations, Comfort managing multiple student health needs and priorities throughout the school day, Ability to remain calm, responsive, and solution-oriented in high-pressure situations, Proficiency in maintaining accurate health records and medication administration logs, Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
What You'll Do.
Provide daily nursing care and health services
Assess and respond to student illnesses
Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
Monitor scholars with chronic health conditions
Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid
Implement emergency response procedures
and confidential health records
Communicate with families regarding student health concerns
Collaborate with school leadership on scholar health
and stocked health office
Manage medical supplies and ensure equipment readiness
Support health and safety planning for events
Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards
Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in student health interactions
