Must Have

Graduation from a related and recognized Technologist Diploma program preferably Electrical Technology, Proven ability/experience in the above noted responsibilities, Willing to develop skills and a career in the Substation Technologist/Power System Electrician discipline, Demonstrate a willingness to work safely and show concern for environmental, health and safety issues in the workplace, Knowledge and adherence to safety practices, procedures, and standards required, mechanical as well as electrical aptitude, Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work within strict deadlines, Be competent and comfortable working with computers and spreadsheets, Ability to work as part of a team and independently, Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive outcomes, Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license, Must have the ability to work in adverse weather conditions and comfortable working at heights, This is a physically demanding position. To ensure we meet our safety requirements, you are required to be in good physical condition, have good manual dexterity and physical coordination and meet all physical fitness, medical and weight requirements., Must be willing to accept out-of-town working conditions and on-call work, Proven track record of good attendance and performance

Nice to Have

Power System Electrician Journeyman Certificate, Class 1 or 3 licenses would be an asset, Previous experience operating equipment (telehandler, crane, skid steer, elevated work platforms, etc. ) would be an asset
