Bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral sciences, education, or a related field, Certified in the State of Colorado as a Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) or ability to obtain CAS within six months of employment, Must be 21 years of age, Successfully pass a background check, including fingerprinting, Valid Colorado Driver’s License
Nice to Have
Master’s degree and pursuing licensure in Colorado, Full licensure preferred (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, LAC), Two (2) years corrections related experience preferred
What You'll Do.
Provides professional level on-site substance abuse treatment and educational programs to clients participating in or referred to Summit View Treatment Services.
Completes substance abuse assessments and evaluations of clients who are participating with the Criminal Justice Services Department.
Provides individual and group substance abuse treatment
addressing client’s substance abuse and criminal behavior in a therapeutic setting
utilizing research proven techniques for clients and developing a cooperative effort with referring agencies.
The position provides psycho-educational and therapy services to clients
completes comprehensive monthly progress reports for the supervising case manager or referral agency.
Participates as a member of the treatment team
attending weekly meetings
and updating records on client progress and making recommendations for future treatment needs.
Ensures that record maintenance requirements are met in accordance with program and oversight agency guidelines
including the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration and the Division of Criminal Justice.

Responds to clients in mental health crisis and coordinates referrals to the local mental health system.
Assists in the development of program conducts research on current and innovative practices used throughout the industry.
