Must Have
4+ years of experience in foam sculpting/fabrication, Proficiency with hot wire CNC, Proficiency with manual hot wire tools, Proficiency with rasps, Proficiency with rotary carving tools, Experience applying hardcoat to foam, Experience applying fibreglass to foam, Experience applying gypsum to foam, Accurately interpret 2D drawings, Accurately interpret 3D renders, Understanding of structural requirements, Spatial awareness, Attention to sculptural detail, Knowledge of foam-safe adhesives, Knowledge of coating compatibility, Physical stamina for sustained manual work
What You'll Do.
Carve EPS foam blocks
Sculpt EPS foam blocks
Create themed elements
Create structural forms
Read technical drawings
Work from design briefs
Replicate surface details
Produce scaled prototypes
Assemble multi-component foam structures
Use appropriate adhesives
Use internal supports
Maintain workshop safety
Dispose of foam off-cuts
Handle chemical coatings
Dispose of chemical coatings
