Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).** **Arctic and Circumpolar collections****Digitization project – Digitization Lab** * **Hiring Unit:** Digitization (Library Technologies) * 20 hrs/wk * **Start date:** May 18, 2026 * **Number of weeks:** 15 (end date of Aug. 28) * **Reporting to: Supervisor,** Media & Digitization **Primary duties:** The Student Project Assistant for the Arctic and Circumpolar collections Digitization project, under the supervision of the Digitization administrator, provides assistance with digitization of Print books and Archival material and ensures the completeness and accuracy of digitized materials. This collection consists primarily of printed books from the Lande Inuit Collection with some possible additions from polar expeditions with maps and illustrations. The assistant position will: * Use a variety of scanning equipment; * perform quality control on scanned items; * handle rare material; * enter data and maintain a project spreadsheet. **Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:** The Student Project Assistant, under the supervision of the Digitization administrator, provides assistance with digitization of Special Collections and Archives material and ensures the completeness and accuracy of digitized materials.
