Full Job Description
**_PURPOSE AND SCOPE:_** The student pharmacist will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to gain the practical experience that will enable them to meet the needs of patients. The student pharmacist will gain experience in prescription order processing, verbal communication, problem-solving and critical thinking. The successful candidate supports FMCNA’s mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the FMCNA Compliance Program, including following all regulatory and division/company policy requirements. **_PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:_** * Under Pharmacist preceptor supervision and per company policies and procedures, assists with preparation and distribution of products and performs general pharmacy duties as follows: * Monitors the drug file and prepares prescriptions for packaging and or distribution. * Counts and fills patient prescription based on order. * Prepares prescription labels to be placed on dispensing containers. * Attaches additional information and instructions on the dispensing container, when necessary. * Presents final dispensed product(s) to pharmacist preceptor for verification and final check. * Organizes finished products for packing/distribution. * Helps to ensure that pharmacy area is always clean and orderly. * May assist in maintaining adequate levels of inventory by ordering drugs, following established procedures. * Prepares and labels stocked drugs. * Obtains and enters patient, medical or prescription order data into computer system. Maintains an orderly filing system. * Escalates issues to pharmacy preceptor for resolution, as deemed necessary. * Reviews and complies with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state, and federal laws, and regulations. * Assists with various projects as assigned by Pharmacist preceptor * Other related duties as assigned. **_PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:_** The physical demands and work e
