Structures & Payload Design Engineer (Galley Insert Design) (Associate or Experienced) **Company:** The Boeing Company The **Payloads organization** within **Boeing Commercial Airplanes** is seeking a **Structures & Payload Design Engineer (Galley Inserts Design) ****(Associate or Experienced)** to join our **Multi-Model Galley Insert Team** in **Long Beach, CA**. **This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Long Beach, CA.** The role of an Galley Insert Engineer is a dynamic position that requires frequent collaboration with a variety of internal and external teams including engineering, supply chain, the galley supplier, factory personnel, multi-disciplined functional teams, interior certification, payloads configuration, customer engineering, airline customers, and others. This position requires a proactive individual who is able to approach problems systemically, program mange issues with both the big picture and details in mind, clearly communicate technical and non-technical issues, manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks, and consistently communicate/collaborate efficiently with all internal and external stakeholders. Assists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design. Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
