Full Job Description
TxDOT Materials and Tests Division's Structural Materials (STR) Section is looking for a Transportation Engineer III, IV, or at our Stassney Campus who has excellent problem-solving skills and will enjoy working with a group of talented professionals to ensure quality on Texas roadways. The candidate selected will work alongside an experienced team of professionals to provide direct engineering support to STR's field inspection personnel located throughout Texas who perform in-plant Quality Assurance (QA) structural product inspection, material and product testing, and manufacturing process oversight for the construction of prestressed concrete and structural steel bridge members, non-bridge steel structures, and other structural components. The work entails supporting TxDOT's 25 districts by ensuring the quality of structural materials furnished to construction and maintenance projects statewide comply with specifications. The candidate selected will also have the opportunity to develop STR's quality assurance programs and TxDOT specifications, and represent STR at industry meetings, technical conferences, etc. TxDOT has over 13,000 employees statewide, and we have a great team of professionals willing to share their knowledge with you. 90,000.00 130,000.00
