## Description Steel Assembly & Fabrication Specialist Location: Arlington, TN Pay Rate: Starting at $21.00/hour+ (based on experience) Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 4:00 PM – 3:00 AM Occasional Saturday overtime may be required Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Steel Assembly & Fabrication Specialist to join a growing manufacturing team on second shift. This position plays a key role in the preparation, fitting, and assembly of structural steel components used in a variety of fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting fabrication drawings, laying out steel components, and preparing assemblies for welding while maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and workplace safety. ## Responsibilities Read and interpret structural steel blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and layout specifications Fit and fabricate structural steel components including beams, columns, stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metals Perform layout, measuring, cutting, and assembly of structural steel materials using proper fabrication techniques Operate fabrication equipment including ironworkers, mag drills, band saws, grinders, oxy-fuel torches, plasma cutters, and other shop tools Tack, fit, and prepare structural steel assemblies for welding and final production Use overhead cranes, rigging equipment, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently Verify dimensions, alignment, squareness, and fit-up to ensure quality and accuracy before welding and final assembly Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while meeting production schedules and deadlines ## Requirements Minimum 2+ years of structural steel fitting/fabrication experience preferred Ability to read and interpret structural steel blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings Experience with structural layout, fit-up, and fabrication processes Knowledge of fabrication tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment Ability to work with heavy m
