Job Description Imagine being part of a team that supports the backbone of the electric grid. As a Structural Engineer – Substation, you will play a critical role in the planning, design, and delivery of substation infrastructure across Olsson’s Transmission and Substation team. In this role, you will lead the structural design of substation foundations, steel structures, and equipment supports, contributing to projects that strengthen and modernize power delivery systems. You will collaborate closely with electrical engineers, designers, and project managers throughout all phases of project delivery. This position is ideal for a structural engineer who enjoys technically challenging work, mentoring others, and contributing meaningfully to essential infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Structural Design & Analysis: Perform and lead structural design for substation facilities, including foundations, steel structures, equipment supports, and miscellaneous structural components. Project Delivery: Support projects through all phases including conceptual design, detailed engineering, permitting support, and construction administration. Coordination & Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, designers, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated, constructible designs.
