Full Job Description
Amazon is currently looking to hire a qualified Structural Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in supporting facility and engineering activity across Amazon's Fulfillment Network. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design standards of various structural systems across the AFN building programs. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. This role will be based in Bellevue, WA or in New York, NY. Periodic Travel will be required. This role will report to the Engineering Team Manager based in New York. Key job responsibilities Key Responsibilities Review and management of structural design standards, models, and calculation packages. Familiarity and the capacity to review and direct structural analysis using industry-standard software (SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, etc.); review calc packages, drawings, specifications, and construction details and ensure designs comply with local building codes and industry standards. Program Management Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines. Ensure all work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements. Participate in peer reviews and design validation processes. Stay current with building codes, standards, and industry best practices. Manage multiple complex projects and programs simultaneously.
