Primary Responsibilities The Structural Business Class Lead is responsible for the growth, operations and technical leadership of the structural team which encompasses design, staff development and mentoring, workload management, profitability, morale, and quality control. In addition, the Section Manager will be responsible for building strong external and internal client relationships with other HDR business group leadership as well as participation in marketing and project planning and serving as a representative of HDR in the local industry. This position will perform the following activities and tasks: Establish client relations and be involved with marketing and client development activities. Manage the technical and operational activities of the structural section. Prepare/review project budgets and scopes for the structural section and track budget status. Schedule and coordinate all work performed inside the section Establish work priorities and project assignments for staff. Monitor scope of work and scope changes. Facilitate and encourage coordination with other discipline groups. Conduct interviews in support of the hiring of new staff for the section and provide new employee mentoring.
