What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Sound engineering experience across multiple disciplines, Specialist engineering experience in aircraft structures and certification, Lead on technical delivery within programmes, Expert technical advice on structural airworthiness and integrity, Conduct and support airworthiness audits and assurance activities, Experience in participating in Integrity Working Groups (IWGs), Assess fatigue, damage tolerance, and structural lifting strategies, Liaised with design organisations, maintenance teams, and regulatory authorities, Supported incident investigations relating to structural issues, Attend and actively contribute to Structural Integrity Working Groups (SIWGs) and other governance forums, Demonstrable technical experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment, in the aerospace industry, including: Certification requirements, Requirements, Safety, Test and acceptance, Customer-focused attitude, Understanding of the different air safety aspects of an air systems life cycle, Support the delivery and assurance of airworthiness activities in accordance with the UK Military Aviation Authority (MAA) Regulatory Framework, Ensuring that aircraft structural integrity, certification, and continued airworthiness activities meet regulatory, safety, and operational requirements within a military aviation environment
Nice to Have
Chartered Engineer level or working towards it, First degree in a relevant engineering discipline, Experience working within a Delivery Team or Defence Equipment & Support, Frontline Engineering Experience on a Squadron or similar, Previous/current experience as an engineering consultant, Civil experience in certification
What You'll Do.
Support in the development and delivery of Aviation Certification and safety assurance services
Provide engineering expertise to a large team of multi-discipline aerospace engineers
Support clients in providing the UK with airworthy
sustainable military capability
Support clients in initial platform type certification and type airworthiness
Support clients in continuing airworthiness and technical delivery of projects
Support and manage technical delivery on projects across the aerospace spectrum within Defence
Develop a portfolio of project deliveries
Support the delivery and assurance of airworthiness activities
Ensure that aircraft structural integrity
and continued airworthiness activities meet regulatory
and operational requirements
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Provide engineering expertise to our large team of multi-discipline aerospace engineers; Help develop more junior engineers and graduates; Liaised with design organisations, maintenance teams, and regulatory authorities; Attend and actively contribute to Structural Integrity Working Groups (SIWGs) and other governance forums
Process & Methodology
Lead on technical delivery within programmes, Manage technical delivery on projects
