What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3-5 years' professional experience, top-tier strategy consulting toolkit, structured problem solving, commercial judgement, analytical rigour, quantitative and financial analysis skills, market sizing, unit economics, business case development, valuation concepts, Excel modelling, Excellent PowerPoint and written communication skills, ability to create concise, senior-ready materials for Executive and Board audiences, Intellectually curious, highly driven, comfortable working at pace, balancing detail with strategic perspective, taking ownership in a small team
Nice to Have
preference for candidates from a top-tier strategy consulting background (e.g. MBB or equivalent), ideally with exposure to financial services or banking projects, Demonstrable interest in banking, fintech or specialist lending, direct experience in banking, fintech, commercial/SME lending, or financial services strategy considered a plus, Exposure to M&A, commercial due diligence, partnerships, integration planning or post-Day 1 value direct buy-side transaction experience is helpful but not essential
What You'll Do.
Own discrete workstreams within strategic and corporate development projects
rigorous analysis to evaluate M&A
lending partnership and market expansion opportunities
Apply a consulting-style strategic toolkit
Support the end-to-end execution and governance of transactions
Help drive post-completion integration and value creation
Conduct research and analysis on UK banking
macroeconomic trends and competitors
Support capital raising and investor-related activity
insightful reports and presentations that support Executive and Board decision making
provide ad hoc strategic and commercial support to teams across the bank

Team & Collaboration
collaborate with colleagues across the various functions of Allica; build relationships across internal functions and with external advisers
Communication Scope
Excellent PowerPoint and written communication skills; ability to create concise, senior-ready materials for Executive and Board audiences
