What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, Advanced Proficiency in an ERP system
Nice to Have
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, 7+ years of experience in Procurement or Strategic Sourcing, Key experience in managing RFP/RFQ processes, negotiating contracts, performing spend analysis, and enhancing supply chain efficiency, Basic ability to read drawings
What You'll Do.
supporting the Strategic and Tactical initiatives within Badger Meter to support changing business needs
managing vendor relationships
new product development
project implementations
implementing sourcing strategies
finding new suppliers
evaluating current suppliers
direct buying responsibilities
support on various corporate initiatives
and Continuous improvement activities
Drive proactive involvement in all functional activities related to sourcing
Review and evaluate supply base by commodity to identify optimal sources
consolidating to align with supply partners
Evaluate and analyze supplier capabilities to determine best overall value
recommend suppliers for development of new or improvements to existing products
Perform on-site supplier evaluation visits
Analyze and schedule material purchases utilizing Badger Meter’s ERP system and tools
setting planning parameters
issuing PO’s to support project and/or production requirements
optimizing the process to maintain short lead-times
yet supplying required materials in a timely manner
Support Procurement Department in necessary metric reporting or any other required procedure in the department
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Work collaboratively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives; Work with the appropriate site procurement teams to provide support on various corporate initiatives; working with appropriate individuals to understand new part requirements; recommend suppliers for development of new or improvements to existing products to the Project Teams

Convey information and ideas clearly and concisely to individuals or groups in an engaging manner that helps them understand and retain the listen actively to others
