What They're Looking For.
Must Have
BS degree or equivalent and 2-4 years of purchasing experience in a regulated industry manufacturing environment (medical device preferred), Significant computer experience including MS Office products and ERP systems, Excel and PowerPoint skills, Working knowledge of buying, material planning, master scheduling, and forecasting, Demonstrates concern for precision, thoroughness, and organization, Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects successfully and adapt to changing priorities, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Proactive thinking and problem solving skills
Nice to Have
Experience in the medical device industry preferred, SAP, Agile, Tableau, and Ivalua experience preferred
What You'll Do.
Supports Plastics category team with strategic sourcing initiatives
Supports spend analytics
Supports preparation of category reviews
Supports supplier scorecards
Supports supplier business reviews
Supports reporting activities related to capacity
and supplier performance management
Supports or leads other strategic purchasing initiatives as required
Supports assigned commodity teams with preparing RFx packages
Leads initial analysis of RFx responses from suppliers
Supports market research and related supplier analysis for designated category team(s)
Supports implementation of sourcing or supplier-related projects
Completes routine spend analysis for assigned category team(s)
Prepares market maps and summarizes key trends for category leads
Ensures accuracy of master data related to commodity classifications for designated category team(s)
Conducts ad hoc spend analysis
including at the part
and sub-commodity level
Supports assigned category team(s) with preparing annual category reviews as well as quarterly checkpoints
Monitors key sources of commodity intelligence for assigned categories
Leads routine reviews of capacity metrics for assigned commodity teams to ensure data is complete and required projects have been initiated
Reviews standard tools to identify possible cost reduction opportunities and track purchase price variance
Supports data gathering for monthly cost savings tracking
Leads or supports project cutover management planning
Supports administration of SCRM tool to ensure accuracy of data for assigned category team(s)
Supports specific risk mitigation projects
Supports preparation of supplier scorecards and supplier business reviews
Analyzes standard reporting tools to ensure data accuracy
summarize performance trends
and identify opportunities for improvement for designated categories
Provides contract administration support
Provides ad hoc support for updating contract exhibits at the direction of the category leads
Supports ad hoc strategic sourcing initiatives as required
Supports IT/automation enhancements and testing
Supports compliance related requirements
Conducts ad hoc supply chain analysis
Generates data visualizations or leadership-level presentations
Identifies continuous improvement opportunities
Mentors colleagues in the Global Supply Chain organization on Strategic Sourcing tools and processes
