Must Have

Bachelor's degree in engineering, 8+ years of experience in satellite systems, spacecraft development, or aerospace engineering, 8+ years’ experience working on DoD programs, 5+ years of experience developing architecture models, 5+ years of experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE), Direct experience developing or managing Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for complex systems, Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems and flight hardware (e.g., avionics, payloads, RF comms, power, GNC, thermal, propulsion), Ability to read and create schematics, interface diagrams, and data communication structures, Demonstrated ability to lead a small technical team, Proficiency in systems engineering tools such as Cameo, DOORS, MATLAB, Proficiency in modeling languages such as SysML, UPDM, DoDAF, Excellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills, interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills, Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to customers, senior leaders, and stakeholders, Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), AN ACTIVE DOD TOP SECRET SECURITY WITH SCI CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U. Nice to Have

Lead the Development of Satellite Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for spacecraft

Team & Collaboration

Work closely with the Configuration Management team in preparing for Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs); Collaborating with prime contractors, other support contractors, government civilians, and members of the U. S. Space Force; Work closely with MSEIT modeling team to ensure models align with technical baseline to include ICDs and requirement flowdown; Manage and coordinate Interface Control Working Groups (ICWGs), ensuring consistent communication across all stakeholders

The MILSATCOM portfolio of programs has an ongoing need for IA/Cybersecurity support, to meet the needs of our emerging next-generation protected SATCOM. The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC).
