**Job Description Summary** Under general supervision of the department manager, the Certified SPD supervisor coordinates and manages the daily activities and operational needs of the department. This position assists the Manager with the overall direction, leadership, and supervision of the staff. This role performs instrument production, case assembly, sterile processing, decontamination of surgical instruments in compliance with medical center policies and procedures, state, local and federal requirements. This position serves as SPD liaison with other departments. The Certified SPD Supervisor monitors and participates in quality initiatives and assists with accomplishing organizational and department goals/objectives.
