## Key Responsibilities Collaborate with shop leadership to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines Lead and support fitters, welders, and fabrication personnel during daily operations Assign tasks and balance workloads to maximize productivity and efficiency Provide technical guidance related to fit-up, welding, layout, and blueprint interpretation Troubleshoot fabrication and production issues as they arise Monitor workflow and communicate schedule updates or production concerns to leadership Reinforce safety procedures, quality standards, and shop policies Coordinate with maintenance teams to reduce equipment downtime Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Support employee training, onboarding, and performance development Partner with Quality Control to ensure fabrication work meets required standards Assist with dimensional checks, inspections, and documentation as needed Perform additional shop leadership duties as assigned ## Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience leading or supervising structural steel fabrication teams Strong background in welding, fit-up, layout, and structural steel fabrication Experience working with CNC fabrication equipment and shop machinery Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints Understanding of safety procedures, quality standards, and production workflows Experience with Tekla EPM/GO is preferred Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to work overtime, weekends, or flexible schedules as production demands require
