We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** ABSMC-Ashby Campus **Position Overview:** The Stationary Engineer shall, under the direction of the Chief Engineer, or the Assistant Chief Engineer, shall provide maintenance and repair of all hospital equipment; operate plant and auxiliary equipment; repair plant operation equipment; uses electric and gas welding tools and systems; operates machine shop equipment; installs new equipment and repairs existing equipment; performs repairs and maintenance on refrigeration equipment, compressors, pumps and HX units; and operates pick-up truck for transporting equipment and supplies to campuses. **Job Description** : * Maintenance of all hospital equipment. * Operation of plant and auxiliary equipment. * Repair of plant operation equipment. * Use of welding tools, electrical or gas. * Use of machine shop equipment. * Installation of new equipment and repair of existing equipment. * Repair and maintenance of refrigeration equipment. * Repair and maintenance of compressors, pumps, and HX units. **EDUCATION** * _Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._ * HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE** * EPA CFC Universal Certification * DL-Valid Drivers License Class C **PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:** * Actual job experience in journeyman standing. **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE** * Stationary Engineer Skill Set **Job Shift:** Evenings **Schedule:** Full Time **Shift Hours:** 8 **Days of the Week:** Friday, Thursday, Tuesday, Wednesday **Weekend Requirements:** Saturday **Benefits:** Yes **Unions:** Yes **Position Status:** Non-Exempt **Weekly Hours:** 40 **Employee Status:** Regular Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.
