1 year related experience, Valid Driver’s License, Maritime industry experience

Knowledge of relevant equipment, Knowledge of operation, navigation, electrical and mechanical systems, Knowledge of required maintenance, Accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail, Prioritize, stay focused, Handle multiple, diverse responsibilities, Utilizing time efficiently, Complete assigned tasks within defined deadlines, Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC), Local Boating Certificate(s), State specific HAZWOPER certification, CPR/First Aid, Marine Crane Operator Certification, Cold-Water Survival Certificates
What You'll Do.
Inspect vessels and equipment prior to voyage
Ensure conformance to regulations
Ensure conformance to company policies
Utilize navigational equipment
Utilize weather forecasts
Utilize tide/current predictions
Ensure overall safety of vessel and crew
Operate vessel as directed by supervisor
Adjust float and work plan
Direct crew activities
Deploy containment boom
Deploy spill response equipment
Tow spill response equipment
Anchor containment boom
Anchor spill response equipment
Ensure job-related equipment is in good working order
Keep equipment ready for deployment
Keep equipment ready for drill notifications
Keep vessel logs current
Keep inspections current
Provide clear direction to deckhands
Provide clear direction to passengers
Ensure safety during navigational hazards
Ensure safety during event hazards
Provide continuous training in safety
Provide continuous training in seamanship skills
Provide continuous training in basic navigation techniques
Conduct onboard safety drills
Complete paperwork to follow procedures
Complete paperwork to follow regulations
Perform confined space entry
