What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum 1 year related experience in the maritime industry, Must have a valid Driver’s License with a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets the Business Driving standards

knowledge of the relevant equipment, policies, procedures and strategies to provide effective protection for themselves and others, knowledge of the operation, navigation, electrical and mechanical systems and required maintenance of assigned boat/vessel, Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail, Must be able to prioritize, stay focused and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities utilizing time efficiently in order to complete assigned tasks within defined deadlines, May be required to have a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) certified by US Coast Guard, Local Boating Certificate(s), state specific HAZWOPER certification including required refresher certificates, passport, Should have or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid, Marine Crane Operator Certification and Cold-Water Survival Certificates
What You'll Do.
Inspects vessels and peripheral equipment prior to voyage
Utilizes navigational equipment
weather forecasts and tide/current predictions
Works with supervisor to adjust float and work plan
Directs crew activities while deployed
and anchors containment boom and other spill response equipment
Ensuring job-related equipment is always in good working order
Document and keep current all vessel logs and inspections
Provides clear direction to deckhands and passengers
Provides continuous training in safety
seamanship skills and basic navigation techniques
Conduct onboard safety drills
Understand and complete paperwork to follow procedures and regulations
May perform other general work
spill response and industrial maintenance
Performs other related duties as assigned
