What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Master's degree in the education field, three years of specifically related experience in public or an equivalent combination of education and experience, Valid NC Driver’s License, Out of State Applicants must have a valid Driver’s License and acquire NC Driver’s License within 60 days of hire
Nice to Have
Background supporting instructional improvement at the district or state level, Experience implementing Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) at scale with a focus on Tier core instruction, Expertise in supporting literacy and or mathematics instruction across elementary, middle, and high school, including secondary content specific and disciplinary literacy practices, Track record of improving student outcomes in literacy and mathematics, Demonstrated success coaching district leaders, principals, or instructional leadership teams, Knowledge and application of evidence based academic and behavioral practices, Skill in using data systems to monitor implementation and drive continuous improvement, Experience leading or supporting systems level change and strategic planning, LETRS training or advanced knowledge of structured literacy practices

Ensure districts implement NC Standard Course of Study
Ensure Math and ELA implementation via MTSS
Ensure alignment of curriculum
Support selection and implementation of core programs
Establish clear expectations for instruction
Support aligning academic and behavioral practices
Maximize instructional time and student access
Ensure Tier environments promote engagement
Reduce disruptions and increase time on tasks
Promote proactive schoolwide practices
Strengthen classroom instruction and student outcomes
Support PSUs in implementing PBIS
Foster supportive school environments
Reduce behavioral challenges
Align academic and behavioral systems
Strengthen Tier instruction and student success
Establish clear expectations for student access
Provide targeted support or acceleration
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Work in close partnership with the Office of Exceptional Children; Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
