What They're Looking For.
Must Have
8+ years of hands-on experience in supplier industrialization, quality engineering, or manufacturing engineering, Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related technical discipline, Demonstrated technical mastery in high-volume sheet metal processing, Expert-level mastery of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles per ASME Y14.5, Proficiency in 3D CAD platforms (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), foundational knowledge of secondary sheet metal processing, technical authority to negotiate engineering changes with supplier executives, flawless fluency in standard Core Tools (PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and Process Flow Diagrams)

progressive die stamping, drawing, fine blanking, precise bending, laser profiling, structural welding, tolerance stack-up analyses, design robust inspection fixtures, heat treating, stress relieving, deburring, protective chemical coatings/finishes, electrolytic nickel plating, zinc coatings
What You'll Do.
Support transfer of sheet metal components to suppliers
Support new product introduction at supplier facilities
Mitigate manufacturing issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Optimize designs for cost
Ensure customer-specific requirements are defined
Lead DFM and APQP reviews with suppliers
Mitigate manufacturing feasibility risks
Own execution of QML roadmap
Manage technical maturation of supplier tooling
Identify and mitigate program schedule risks
Develop mitigation plans
Drive closed-loop Non-Conformance Management
Issue and manage SCAR
Lead suppliers through RCA
Monitor ongoing supplier performance
Champion continuous improvement initiatives
