What They're Looking For.
Must Have
10+ years of software engineering experience, significant time spent building developer platforms, internal tooling, or core infrastructure, Deep full-stack instincts, product instincts applied to internal users, Expertise and hands on experience with at least one of each: a CI/CD system, a container orchestrator, build tooling preferably for more than one language, backend-for-frontend, service-to-service communication, Metrics and artifact storage, An appetite to take a shovel to that brown field, An independent mindset, Excellent communication
Nice to Have
Experience in data-driven DevX development using metrics such as DORA, Experience with AWS, Experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) at scale such as JWTs, OIDC and fine-grained authorization, Experience with Terraform
What You'll Do.
Own and evolve developer platform
Make paved paths and self-serve tooling
Create and support CI/CD pipelines
Own and improve backend/frontend experience
Act as steward of GraphQL/gRPC ecosystem
Evolve and integrate IAM solutions
Ensure engineers can use observability stack
Do user research with developers
Cross organizational boundaries to align
Ship code that moves real freight
