What They're Looking For.
Must Have
8+ years of software engineering and product delivery experience, at least 3+ years as a Senior Individual Contributor position (Senior Engineer, Staff Engineer, Tech Lead, Architect or similar), background in algorithms and high-performance distributed systems, Hands-on experience with multiple tech stacks (NodeJS, Java, Mobile), with expertise in at least one of them, Seasoned experience in multiple architectures, from Monoliths to Microservices to Serverless, Experience in cloud infrastructure technologies (especially GCP and AWS) and past experiences with cloud migration, Experience in the e-commerce domain, Very good command of English (spoken and written), Proficiency in leveraging AI tools and large language models (e. g. , GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance productivity, accelerate development, and solve complex problems, Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and apply them responsibly within professional workflows, Openness to working in a hybrid model from our Kraków or Warsaw office once a week is required
What You'll Do.
Drive the design and implementation of microservices architecture
Define best practices
and guidelines for microservices development
Collaborate with software development teams to design and build scalable
and fault-tolerant microservices
Mentor and provide technical guidance to development teams in adopting best patterns and practices
Act as a subject matter expert on e-commerce platform architecture and related technologies
Lead and participate in architectural reviews
and technical discussions to ensure high-quality deliverables
Shape a vision for the technical development of the entire domain
Collaborate with representatives from a dozen domains within the organization to jointly develop the technical development vision
Propose and consistently implement the agreed solutions
Engage actively in both system design and hands-on tasks
including coding and incident management
Stay updated with the latest industry trends
emerging technologies
and best practices related to cloud computing

Collaborate effectively with stakeholders

Product Owners and Project Managers
