What They're Looking For.
Must Have
8+ years of experience building and scaling customer-facing applications across the stack, deep expertise in React, deep expertise in backend frameworks like Ruby on Rails, experience building scalable APIs, experience building distributed systems, solid understanding of reliability, solid understanding of asynchronous processing, solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, Comfort using modern developer tooling, Experience working in zero-to-one or highly iterative product environments, A proven track record of leading complex, high-impact initiatives from ambiguous problem spaces through technical design, production launch, and ongoing iteration, product and engineering judgment, Experience partnering closely with product, design, and data teams, A ownership mindset, experience mentoring engineers, experience improving shared systems, experience raising the quality bar through technical leadership and collaboration, A genuine interest in mentoring others, A genuine interest in contributing to a strong, healthy engineering culture
Nice to Have
