What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related technical field, PhD and 5+ years of experience, MS and 7 years minimum experience, BS and 10 years minimum experience, Experience in organic chemistry, Ability to synthesize a wide range of chemistries, Problem solver, Ability to lead change, Manage ambiguity, Adapt to new situations and projects quickly, Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
Nice to Have
Experience with chemical additives for oilfield related products, Formulation experience developing new products, Formulation experience improving existing products, Prior experience with product-scale up, Prior experience with commercialization, Prior experience with manufacturing process troubleshooting
What You'll Do.
Perform work in a safe manner

Execute on experiments
Execute on research of critical chemical components/products
Collaborate with multiple SLB divisions
Collaborate with business stakeholders/functions
Determine best synthetic routes
Collaborate with cross-division technical groups
Qualify materials for respective applications
Provide solutions to chemistry challenges
Demonstrate initiative
Demonstrate creativity
Translate understanding of chemistry/product compositions into viable products
Provide project leadership for strategic sourcing projects
Provide technical leadership for strategic sourcing projects
Serve as a technical resource
Demonstrate continuous improvement mindset
Modify processes to improve internal efficiency

Prioritize assigned tasks
