Full Job Description

**_Job Family_ :** Scientist ** _Travel Required_ :** None ** _Clearance Required_ :** Ability to Obtain Public Trust ** _What You Will Do_ :** We are currently searching for a Staff Scientist to provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Bethesda, MD. * Provide scientific and technical leadership for human pluripotent stem cell service projects, including project scoping, experimental design, feasibility assessment, troubleshooting, data interpretation, and user communication. * Develop, validate, and refine reproducible protocols that translate emerging stem cell and genome engineering methods into robust Core services. * Work across cell culture, molecular biology, genome editing platforms, differentiation assays, imaging/flow/molecular readouts, and quality-control documentation. * Execute and optimize human iPSC culture, reprogramming, genome editing, clone screening and selection, expansion, banking, thaw recovery, and differentiation workflows consistent with Core priorities and training. * Analyze, organize, and communicate data; prepare technical summaries, reports, presentations, protocols, standard operating procedures, batch records, and project handoff materials for investigators and Core leadership. * Support laboratory operations, including supply inventory, reagent qualification and lot tracking, equipment maintenance coordination, cryostorage records, and general laboratory organization. * Maintain accurate records for samples, reagents, cell lines, genome editing designs, inventories, equipment use, deviations, and corrective actions using appropriate databases or LIMS/tracking systems. * Maintain laboratory safety, security, biosafety, and required training records; follow applicable NIH, NHLBI, and laboratory policies for research-use human cell lines and associated materials. * Contribute to Core quality practices, in
