What They're Looking For.

Must Have

owning a high-stakes, high-complexity product end-to-end with clear, measurable business impact, specific, hands-on experience with payments, checkout, or comparable consumer-facing fintech experiences at scale, understanding auth rates, 3DS, SCA, PSP economics, fraud trade-offs, worked on high-volume, consumer-facing products where small UX or technical changes have outsized commercial impact, technically credible – comfortable in the details with engineers, able to reason about systems, APIs, and trade-offs, data-fluent and metrics-led, use AI as a daily force multiplier – for research, writing, analysis, and building functional prototypes, built and shipped in scale-up or startup environments, including zero-to-one work, outstanding written and verbal communicator, comfortable managing hard trade-offs across customers, Sales, Engineering, Compliance, and Exco, value regular, in-person collaboration with your team and wider stakeholders

What You'll Do.

Own the long-term vision and strategy for Checkout

Translate strategy into a roadmap

Make tough prioritization calls

multi-stakeholder trade-offs

Set the bar for discovery and prioritisation

Coach other PMs on discovery and prioritisation

Lead end-to-end delivery of complex

multi-faceted initiatives

Define and enforce delivery standards

Work in a tight trio with engineering and design to ship fast

Use AI tooling to compress the loop from idea to spec to prototype

Run a continuous programme of optimisation

Own the KPIs that matter for Checkout

Weave KPIs into the strategic narrative

Dive into data independently

Form hypotheses and bring recommendations

Use product data to influence business strategy

Align senior stakeholders around the Checkout strategy

Craft compelling written narratives

Be a credible technical partner to engineering

Oversee GTM for Checkout launches

Shape the customer-centric culture of the team

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Work in a trio with engineering lead and experienced product designer; Daily exposure to Sales, Solutions, Customer Success, Risk, Finance, and Exco; Regular in-person collaboration with the Checkout team and the wider Payments group; Work alongside engineers and designers; Collaborative culture

Communication Scope

senior product voice; storytelling; written narratives; verbal communication; tailor the message, never the substance

Process & Methodology

roadmap development, prioritization, delivery standards enforcement, GTM oversight
