Must Have
7+ years of QA engineering experience, delivery in safety-critical, regulated, or otherwise high-reliability environments, designing and owning end-to-end test strategy for production mobile applications on both iOS and Android, hands-on manual end-to-end testing experience for mobile applications and connected devices, Exploratory testing, scripted test execution, real-world usage scenarios, environmental and edge-case validation, defect reproduction and triage, verification of fixes against physical hardware, Maestro for mobile UI test automation, Flow authoring, parameterization, tags and selectors, custom commands, JavaScript hooks, integration into CI pipelines, UI test pyramids for mobile, snapshot testing, accessibility testing, device-matrix coverage, mobile device farms, cloud testing platforms, API and contract testing, backend services, Performance and reliability testing, flake detection and reduction, retry strategies, test isolation, quarantine workflows, traceability, linking test cases to requirements in JIRA / Xray, generating verification reports, maintaining audit-ready evidence documentation, authoring of test plans, test cases, test reports, verification artifacts
Nice to Have
Experience developing software in regulated environments, working knowledge of IEC 62304, IEC 62366 (usability engineering), role of QA in software verification and validation (V&V), FDA Software Validation guidance, Appium for cross-platform mobile test automation, hybrid app coverage, integration with existing test management tooling, use as a complement to Maestro for scenarios requiring deeper native interaction, testing hardware‑integrated software systems, BLE connectivity, embedded firmware validation, basic electrical and power‑signal verification, medical device safety standards (IEC 60601 series), software-driven test scenarios feed into system-level verification, secure handling of sensitive test data, PHi scrubbing, synthetic data generation for healthcare applications, JIRA, Confluence, test management tools (Xray, TestRail), performance and load testing tools (k6, Gatling, JMeter), contributing to or maintaining shared test infrastructure, custom Maestro/Playwright fixtures, internal QA libraries
