How You Will Make an Impact: The Staff Mechanical Design Engineer serves as the senior technical lead for mechanical and enclosure design within the power group, with responsibility for standards, design methodologies, and execution of complex mechanical deliverables. This role provides technical authority across commercial and industrial (C Austin, TX Work Environment: Office, Field, Shop, Outdoors Travel 25%: Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis. Position requires site visits in office, shop, outdoor, and industrial field environments, including areas with uneven surfaces and potential exposure to slips, trips, falls, and other common site hazards. Must be able to walk job sites, climb stairs and ladders as needed, stand for extended periods, and perform field inspections and measurements. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and work in or around active construction, fabrication, or operating environments while complying with all applicable safety requirements.
